The Department of Internal Medicine has OPD, Indoor and Intensive Care facility for both basic and highly advanced care. The OPD is well equipped with spacious and well-ventilated consultation rooms as well as general OPD structure. The Indoor facility provides care right from general wards to private rooms. The Intensive Care Unit is equipped to take care of critically ill patients with highly qualified and experienced doctors.
The ICU is adequately equipped and staffed to manage most medical emergencies including acute coronary events, acute neurological events, seizures, trauma and severe infections. Facilities include ventilator, non-invasive ventilation and good laboratory back up. As soon as the patients' condition is stabilized they are shifted to the HDU (High Dependency Unit) where their condition is monitored round the clock prior to transfer to wards.
The services offered include clinical evaluation of outdoor patient with investigation like ECG,CxR & Biochemical parameter.Patient with acute coronary event & Cardiac failure are treated in the Intensive Care any time during the day.
All type of paediatric problems are delt with good care at any time in the outpatients department. Admission to the hospital may be through the casualty or as per consultants advice.
